Used Bulk bags or super sacks are a big part of our company’s inventory, and we strive to deliver the best used bag possible. 

We specialize in supplying both new and used/reconditioned bulk bags or super sacks, so we are always looking for the most cost effective solution. If the customer is identified as a candidate for reconditioned bags, then we will suggest moving in that direction.  We only sell used bags that are free from cuts, dirt, and mildew.

We monitor our supply of bulk bags from our supplier all the way to the delivery to our end customer. If the bags are improperly baled, they will be cut during the baling process, and you will end with 20-30% defective bags. We place special balers on our supplier sites to ensure that the bags are not damaged at any point in the supply chain.

Used Bags/Super Sacks are Helping the Environment

The use of reusable bulk bags is becoming more popular. The reason for this is that they help to reduce waste and save money. They also help to protect our environment by reducing the amount of plastic we throw away.  When these bags are produced, they are highly compressed providing a small footprint.  However, after they are loaded with bulk materials, they cannot be shrunk down to the same small footprint without using a baler to compress them again.  Unfortunately, many companies just throw them into a dumpster and they become a problem when entering landfills.  Many of these come out of the agricultural Industry, or food processing industry and can be easily recycled.  These bags will take many years to break down the plastic and be absorbed into the soil, so we must do our best to utilize the bags as many times as possible and they recycle them properly.

Reconditioned vs. Used Bulk Bags

We sell used bulk bags in two different states. Used bags are taken in from our suppliers and then redistributed to our end customers without any additional work.  We realize that some may be disposing of the material and bag when finished and do not care what residual product may be in the bags and used bags are fine for this purpose. However, some may be selling this to an end customer and do not want any residual product in the bags, so this customer would be better suited for a reconditioned bag.  So, the reconditioned bags will go through a more throughout process to remove as much residual product as possible, inspect the bag for issues, re-tie the bottom spout, and un-tie the top spout of the bulk bags.  Then, the bags are folded and palletized for sending to our customers.  Therefore, when we finish with the reconditioning process, the bag is almost as it was when it was a new bag.  

Used Bags are Cost Effective

Some companies have no choice but to use a new bulk bag and we understand that fully.  However, a lot of companies do not realize they could be saving a considerable amount of money by switching to a used bulk bag.  We have move many companies from new to used bags when it makes sense, but we must be able to analyze what is being loaded into the bags and determine the tolerance for cross contamination.  When bags are reconditioned, we cannot guarantee that all the residual product will be removed from every stitch of the bag.  This would be impossible, so anyone who cannot tolerate any cross contamination, must use a new bulk bag.

Which Companies Can Buy Used Bulk Bags?

Any company which is not under a contamination restriction, can introduce recycled bulk bags.  A lot of our bags have been used for to transport products which do not leave residual product.  For example, some of our bags are used to transport plastic resin pellets and these are easy to remove the pellets from the bag.  Therefore, you are saving a considerable amount of money by using a one time used bag.  We only recondition the bags one time so the bag does not get stressed too many times.
