A spout top bulk bag is a large industrial packaging container designed to transport and store dry goods such as feed, grains, fertilizers, aggregates and other commodities. How are spout top bulk bags loaded?

The picture to the right shows a spout top bag being loaded with flour. The downspout has a bladder which expands to create an airtight connection between the spout and the downspout, so no dust is allowed to escape during the load.

A spout top bag can also have a polyethylene liner inside the bulk bag to keep any moisture from entering the bag.

Bulk Bags with Duffle Tops

The picture to the left shows frac sand being loaded into a duffle top bag using a hopper, so even duffle tops are used with hoppers when product needs to be loaded quickly.

A duffle top bag allows you to open the bag up completely, which allows a much bigger surface to drop the product. The duffle allows you to tie the bag up once it’s loaded, so the material does not spill out when it ships.

The one issue you may run into when loading a duffle top bag is the lifting loops need to be on the outside of the duffle or it will get pulled down with the material.

Duffle top bags are another choice for loading products where you may not have a hopper or downspout to attach a spout top to.

Usually, this means you are loading with a conveyor, wheel loader, or skid steer. Another way is the use a forklift to lift up using the lifting loops and dump into the bag.

Also, these are great for construction where the work is in the field and a hopper is not available.

We can provide a stock bag or custom make a bulk bag to your specifications that allows the loops to go both outside and inside of the duffle top.
